Yes. No prior experience is required — expert guides walk you through every rappel, and all technical gear (harnesses, helmets, ropes) is provided and checked before each descent. The route is rated easy to moderate, suitable for most fitness levels.
Wear quick-dry athletic clothing and closed-toe shoes that can get wet (water shoes or old sneakers work well). Bring a swimsuit underneath, sunscreen, and a change of clothes for after. Waterproof bags are provided for cameras and phones.
No previous experience is necessary. Every group receives a full safety briefing and hands-on instruction before the first rappel, and guides stay with you at each waterfall from start to finish.
Canyoning runs year-round in Quepos. The dry season (December–April) tends to have lower water levels and clearer pools, while the green season (May–November) brings fuller waterfalls and lush jungle scenery — both are great, just different experiences.
The route is rated easy to moderate. You'll walk short jungle trails between waterfalls and rappel down each one at your own pace — no climbing or technical skill required. It's a great fit for active travelers, families with older kids, and first-timers alike.
Light rain doesn't cancel a tour — the rainforest setting means some rain is part of the experience. In cases of heavy rain or unsafe water levels, Quepo Canyoning will reschedule or offer alternatives; contact them directly for their current weather policy.
