Inshore charters stay closer to the coast around Quepos and Manuel Antonio, targeting roosterfish, snapper, and jack crevalle in shallower water — shorter runs, calmer seas, and great for families. Offshore charters head into the deep Pacific for billfish, tuna, and mahi-mahi, with longer travel time and typically bigger, harder-fighting fish.
Yes, but you don't need to arrange it yourself. Every charter includes the official INCOPESCA fishing license for all passengers on board, along with all required permits — it's handled before you even step on the boat.
Sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and comfortable non-marking shoes. We recommend a light jacket for the ride out on offshore trips, and a change of clothes. Rods, reels, tackle, bait, and licenses are all included — you really just need to show up.

Captain safety comes first. If conditions aren't safe to fish, we'll work with you to reschedule for another day during your stay, or adjust the route to calmer inshore waters when possible. We'll always communicate directly with you as soon as we know.
